Which is the Best Web Browser?

Where would the internet be without the Worldwide Web (WWW)? And where would WWW be without web browsers? In the 1990s, Microsoft Corp fought a long and dirty court war against a company called Netscape for browser supremacy. It did win the lawsuits and for a few years Microsoft Internet Explorer dominated the internet landscape while Netscape Navigator went into oblivion.

But Internet Explorer did not get to wear to crown for long. New contenders rose to challenge the king and one of the most prominent was Mozilla Firefox. It quickly stole a large chunk of users from Internet Explorer and then dislodged it from the throne. Then not so long ago, the search engine titan Google came up with its own browser – the Chrome, which quickly climbed up the popularity chart.

Chrome managed to move past it competitors because of its clean, uncluttered and user-friendly interface. People had become sick of the older browsers’ cluttered interface and they were looking for something new. Google took advantage of this and created a browser that made it possible to browse the net without be annoyed by disturbing menus and ads. This is not to say that Chrome is the best browser there is, but it certainly is the top contender.
